A Step Towards Environment

On October 23, 2009, Friday, a fundraising event was organized by CGNN- Children for Green New Nepal, an environmental organization of youths, marked with the premiere of CGNN’s first Environment Music Video with a documentary show as well at Rastriya Sabha Griha, pradarshani Marga.

The hall of Rastriya Sabha Griha was filled with elated young countenances. Some known faces like Sugarika KC, Mahima Bhattarai, were seen not at the audience seat but on the stage hosting the event. With them, two more faces, Alina Bista and Annie Shrestha were also on stage.

The ambience of the hall was musical with live performances of many artists like Priti Kaur, Ciney Gurung, Nalina Chitrakar, Prasna Shakya, Araz Keshav and Mausami Gurung and comical with the unit of Jhai kuti Jhai. A cultural performance was also performed by Aahuti Kala Kendra and AKN Eco Club.

The event was held under the sponsorship of ICIMOD, Anupa Re- Condition Motor House Pvt. Ltd, and the Bakery Café. (UE)
