Thanking that YOU

There I was standing at your door
All nervous but excited more
You welcomed me and let me in
But alas! soon you took my hopes unseen.

Knowing not what went wrong
There I stood all shattered in the throng
Unable to watch those upset countenances
I just made them feel it wasn’t any of my races.

But deep down in my heart
That moment of despair started to heat
Arose great ire for it
But still did nothing in against of it.

No hard feelings still today
As you brought out the best of my way
It was you who gave me a new life
Life that would not have come otherwise.
